New Hyundai Elantra Coupe to Debut at 2012 Chicago Auto Show

The all new and improved 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe will debut at this year’s Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place in February of this year. The all new 2013 Hyundai Elantra, which has yet to be officially seen by the public, is expected to have the fluidic sculpture design that the Sonata, Elantra and Accent all have.

We don’t have any of the specifications yet (as of 1/24/12) but we will surely be posting all of the listed features once we find out more about this newly redesigned Hyundai model!

Hyundai Offers Hybrid Lifetime Battery Replacement Guarantee

Hyundai has just announced that they are going to be the first automaker to offer hybrid lifetime battery replacement guarantees, which will now extend the battery warranty far beyond Hyundai’s 10-year 100,000 mile warranty. The warranty coverage applies to all 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid models over the entire life expectancy of the vehicle. This warranty assures customers that if the Sonata Hybrid lithium polymer battery fails, Hyundai will cover the replacement of the batter and also the recycling costs associated with the disposal of the old lithium battery.

Hybrid Battery Tests OK over 300,000 Miles

Hyundai has performed tests on the batteries for over 300,000 miles showing very minimal degradation of its output, giving confidence to all owners of new Hyundai Sonata hybrid models.

Hyundai Blue Link Technology

Cars.com has just released its list of the “Best of 2012″ awards for 2012 model vehicles! Two Hyundai models, including the all new 2012 Hyundai Accent and the all new 2012 Hyundai Veloster, have been named as one of six top vehicles for 2012!

Hyundai Motor America breaks all time November sales record

Hyundai Motor America has announced that in the month of November, Hyundai sold 49,610 vehicles, which is a 22 percent increase compared with the same month last year.

“The Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, including ‘Black Friday,’ proved to be a very strong selling period and helped us break our all-time November sales record,” said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai Motor America’s executive vice president of national sales. “With vehicle availability at the highest levels for the year, and with positive demand signals and improving consumer confidence, Hyundai is positioned for a very strong December finish to this record-breaking year.”

So far this year, Hyundai sales have been up to 21 percent (2010 sales were up 30%).

The award-winning Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Accent continue to deliver strong numbers in the sub-compact and compact car segments. The Tucson and the Veracruz also came in strong with sales increases.

“Improving consumer demand and increased product availability at Hyundai dealers nationwide drive a positive December outlook for us,” said John Krafcik, Hyundai Motor America’s president and CEO. “While our 35 days-supply level today is low by most standards, it’s the best we’ve seen at the start of a month for some time. Accent, Elantra and Veloster remain in short supply, but healthy dealer stocks on all other Hyundai models should allow consumers a great opportunity to find just the car they’re looking for in December.”
