Like its larger sibling Genesis, the Sonata has been built to challenge the status quo. It all starts with design. The all-new Sonata was created at the Hyundai California Design Studio and conceived with the needs of the American car buyer in mind. Sonata features the company’s Fluidic Sculpture design language and is the second vehicle in Hyundai’s 24/7 version 2.0 product initiative (seven all-new models in the next 24 months), following on the heels of the all-new Tucson. It’s also built in America , at the state-of-the-art assembly plant in Montgomery, Alabama.
Hyundai’s commitment to being a fuel economy leader is on display in the all-new Sonata. It is rated a best-in-class 35 mpg highway thanks to a completely new 2.4L Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine and new 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
