2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Debut at New York International Auto Show

Hyundai is use to making big announcements at major auto shows, but Hyundai’s most recently announcement yesterday at the 2012 New York International Auto Show takes the cake.

It was well known that Hyundai would be showcasing their all new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, but no one expected that a secondary Hyundai Santa Fe was also built with an extended cab and three rows of seats, seven seats total. The super-sized 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe will be able to haul larger recreational vehicles such as boats, trailers and more.

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is said to get 33 mpg on the highway and it’s turbo version will get up to 31 mpg on the highway, impressive given the fact that the current 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe currently gets up to 28 mpg on the highway, which is still very fuel efficient given the size of the Santa Fe.

Also with the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe comes a panoramic sunroof, Pandora built into the audio system, XM radio, iPod inputs, and even a remote start! These features are sure to get families talking about getting a Hyundai Santa Fe.

The all new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is scheduled to come to World Hyundai around August with the super-sized version of the Hyundai Santa Fe arriving in January 2013.

The 2012 Hyundai Azera is HERE!!!

That’s right!!! The long awaited 2012 Hyundai Azera has just arrived at World Hyundai in the Matteson Auto Mall and we couldn’t be happier! The all new 2012 Azera has received a facelift, now looking more like the new Sonata and Elantra with it’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design. This car comes standard with many luxury features, making it a great cross between a Hyundai Sonata and a Hyundai Genesis. With ample cargo room, leg room and more, this car is sure to be a winner.

2012 Hyundai Azera Tops for Large Sedan Gas Mileage

Before the redesigned 2012 Hyundai Azera recently debuted, nobody really knew how fuel efficient the all new Azera would be. Guesstimates where scattered across the internet as people tried to compare the new Azera to it’s cousin, the Sonata, which gets a government rated 35mpg on the highway. World Hyundai is happy to announce that the 2012 Hyundai Azera is leading other automakers in the large sedan non-diesel and non-hybrid segment in fuel efficiency with a government fuel economy rating of 20mpgs in the city and 29mpgs on the highway.

The all new 2012 Hyundai Azera, which debuted recently at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show in February, has been redesigned with Hyundai’s ever-popular fluidic sculpture design made popular by Hyundai’s Sonata and Elantra models. Not only is the 2012 Azera a leader in fuel economy, but it also has a price tag substantially lower than large sedans sold by luxury brands with many of the same luxury features equipped in the new Azera.

Once touted as a Hyundai flagship vehicle, the popularity of the Hyundai Azera has always remained low key due to the Azera getting less exposure in the media, commercials, etc. The new 2012 Hyundai Azera has a new engine – a 3.3 liter V-6 version of Hyundai’s Lambda II series of engines.This GDI (Gasoline direct injection) engine delivers ample power to the Azera’s motor.

Gas Prices are on the Rise, Chicago!

It’s the time of the year when gas prices begin to rise as the demand for gas during the summer driving months continues to increase. If you hadn’t noticed in the past two weeks, the gas prices in the Chicago area have skyrocketed almost 10% just in the month of February. As of today, gas prices along US 30 from Schererville, Indiana all the way to Frankfort, IL range from $3.95 all the way up to $4.19.

World Hyundai is happy to let you know that we have FOUR vehicles that will get up to 40mpgs on the highway: the 2012 Hyundai Accent, the 2012 Hyundai Elantra, the 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and the 2012 Hyundai Veloster! All of these cars have been recently redesigned with Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture design and all of them with much improved gas economy from previous models.

As the summer draws near, rumors are out there that we may even see $5.00 a gallon this year, a number to surely keep a percentage of the population at home rather than out on vacation or driving needlessly.

Customer Appreciation at CD & Me in Frankfort

On Friday, March 2, 2012, World Hyundai in the Matteson Auto Mall held a customer appreciation event at CD & Me in Frankfort, IL! Both employees of World Hyundai and customers who were in attendance at the event were treated to a buffet of delicious food catered by CD & Me, a live comedy show and live music by The Weeds. World Hyundai has held several customer appreciation events at CD & Me and we would also like to thank the owners, management and staff for providing a great venue for our customers!

After the live comedy show, several customers names were drawn for prizes and goodie baskets were giving away to many guests. 2012 Hyundai Accent places 1st for Economy Five Door Hatchback test!

It wasn’t very long ago when how much gas a car uses wasn’t much of an issue. The cars of the 1950s and 1960s sure burned a lot of gas, but these days, the times have changed. Long gone are the days when driving only couple of hours on the highway required a fill up. Long gone are the days when we were astounded by fuel efficiency of 20+ mpg or better. Today, cars are made specifically to meet or exceed the government set standards in order to optimize the fuel efficiency of each car model and this is no different in the Hyundai Accent.

The 2012 Hyundai Accent has recently been placed 1st in Motor Trend’s “Economy Five-Door Hatchback” test, competing against other similar models such as the Kia Rio, Suzuki SX4, Mazda2, Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and the Chevrolet Sonic. In order to qualify, the car has to be a five-door hatchback and each is required to have a manual gearbox.

Hyundai Blue Link: Did you know…?

Currently, there are over 92,000 Hyundai owners who are currently enrolled in Blue Link and is expected to be over 100,000 by the end of this month. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what Hyundai Blue Link is, read these facts based upon current usage from Hyundai owners:

1) Customers are pressing the Blue Link button to get information up to 12,000 times per day. This allows a user to download Points of interest, using Turn-by-Turn navigation as well as access to other features.

2) Over 315,000 monthly reports have been sent to owners, giving them a heads up about any needed or recommended maintenance on their vehicle.

3) Approximately 2,745 owners have used the emergency support system from Blue Link, such as automatic collision notification and more.

4) Hyundai dealer service professionals have received advanced service info in the DCS in-box from the “Automatic Diagnostic Notification” feature.

5) To date, 300+ Hyundai customers have made appointments from their cars using Blue Link and X-Time.

Hyundai will be coming out with two additional vehicles that will be equipped with Blue Link, including the all new 2013 Hyundai Azera and the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The soon to come out Hyundai Elantra GT and Santa Fe will be the next two vehicles in line to get Blue Link integration in the upcoming months.

2013 Hyundai Elantra GT debuts at Chicago Auto Show

In case you missed it, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT made its debut at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place last week! The all new 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT is a completely redesigned hatchback that will replace the Hyundai Elantra Touring model.

The 2013 Hyundai GT comes equipped with a hatchback door, making storage in this compact car very easy and accessible. We went to the Chicago Auto Show on Friday, the first day it opened to the public, and got a first look at some all new models, including the 2013 Hyundai Azera, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT, and the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe!
