The all-new 2011 Hyundai Azera

Since the arrival of the Genesis, Hyundai’s other luxury vehicle hasn’t gotten as much attention. In order to boost this affordable luxury vehicle, Hyundai revealed an updated 2011 Azera at the Chicago auto show.

An updated engine and a new six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift function are among some of the new features on the 2011 model. Both the 3.3-liter and the 3.8-liter V6s gain dual continuously variable valve timing and a variable intake system. For the 3.3-liter, the power increases by 26 hp to 260 hp, and city/highway fuel-economy ratings improve by 2 mpg to 20/28 mpg. The range-topping 3.8-liter features a significant power jump of 20 hp to 283 hp, and the fuel economy improves to 19/27 mpg.

There have been changes to the style, including a sleeker front fascia, revised headlights, chrome grille, round fog lights and side mirrors with new puddle lamps. In the back of the car, the Azera gains LED taillights, a redesigned bumper with integrated chrome exhaust outlets and trunk lid. The entire package drives on revised 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the Azera you will find a brushed-aluminum trim that is added to the center console, and a one-touch triple turn signal that is brand new. Last but not least, another addition to the 2011 Azera is the addition of an Eco Indicator that lights up on the cluster to indicate your fuel-efficient driving habits.

The 2011 Azera will be arriving at your Chicago Hyundai dealer in Spring 2010.
